O'Neal got its start in 1970 selling fenders at MX races and was housed in the back of Jim O'Neal's van. At that point, it was about distributing good quality products for racing and improving the sport as a whole. Of course, making a little money by doing what you love is never a let down, as Jim O'Neal soon found out.
Soon the business out grew the van, and moved into the garage, which didn't last long. Outgrowing space after space, and expanding the line from 120 to 120,000 products, Oneal is now at home in a 67,000 square foot facility in Simi Valley, CA. After 37 years of doing what he loves, Jim O'Neal is still a major force in testing and researching products for the company.
With a CEO like Jim O'Neal at the helm, O'Neal Distributing is leading the way in the industry. From that inauspicious start in the back of a van, O'Neal MX has since become a worldwide distributor of Motocross gear. Now a parent company to four separate brands, O'Neal has everything from bike parts to protective gear, and will continue to thrive in the years to come.
