Helmet Express.com
After being involved in the bricks and mortar motorcycle dealer retail world during my "formative" years working for "Dad" who runs a pretty big motorcycle mail order company that's been in business almost 50 years now, I decided to do things a bit differently and see the world. So we've been traveling to the races and selling helmets for a few years, and pretty successfully at that.
Because we sell so many brands and there are so many models, we can't possibly have everything sitting in the truck for people to carry away with them at the races. So we started keeping sizing helmets and a wide display selection of all the styles available and then shipping out your size and model selection to you for free right from the warehouse when we got back each Monday.
We ship a brand new, in the carton, "fresh" helmet. We don't ship a helmet that's been on a store shelf for years and that's been tried on by who knows who with who knows what in their hair. And many of the helmets ship right from the manufacturer's regional warehouses directly to you. And fast, usually delivered within 2 business days after the day you place the order.
We liked seeing the county and all but there are only so many races and so much time available to get there so I decided, what the heck, lets not only have a rolling store at select events, lets have a virtual one also. So after a long winter of hard work, we started this site in March 2008 for frankly one reason, to sell you your next helmet.
Why "direct" makes sense
I have spent a lot of hours in the retail store while growing up in the business and from my point of view there are a few reasons you should purchase your next helmet from Helmet Express.com... "Fresh Helmets Fast" SM
Have you ever seen them play Helmet Basketball?
Helmet Basketball is played every weekend in hundreds of dealerships around the country.
The game starts when someone reaches up on the shelf to grab a helmet to try on. And of course its always the most expensive helmets that are stocked up high right.
Then the helmet catches on the shelf or the chin strap gets caught and next thing you know it slips out of their hands and drops to the floor where it bounces when they try to grab it and bang .... there it goes again dribbling on the floor.
Helmets are pretty solid and are designed to protect your head from impact.
But they aren't really designed to be dribbled across a tile floor and still do their job.
Even if the Shell and liner stay intact, the finish can develop micro cracks or small chips.
Why put anything on your head that's not perfect. Buy from Helmet Express. We ship "Fresh Helmets Fast" SM.
The "Helmet Football" Variation of the game
Helmet Football starts with a similar situation to Helmet Basketball. A helmet slips out of some ones hands and starts dropping to the floor when just before impact the customer sticks out their foot to try to keep it from being damaged by hitting the hard floor and punts the helmet down the aisle where it caroms along until coming to a rest against a case of oil or a plastic gas can. I have seen it many times. That's why we don't sell any helmets online that have been used for display at the races. Don't pay good money for a display helmet when you can get a "Fresh Helmets Fast" from Helmet Express.
Have you visited your local "Helmet Museum" lately?
Local dealerships have a really difficult task as they have so many services they need to provide: new bike sales, used sales, finance, warranties, service department, parts counter, general accessories, jackets, boots and also helmets. With so much to take care of it's hard to be expert in everything, or for that matter anything. And since most local dealers charge full retails, they arent the highest volume outlets either. So a helmet can sit on the shelf for quite a while gathering dust and taking up space on the shelf and the newer models may never get ordered for a while. I see many of these stores in my travels, and we use a nickname for these types of outlets: "Helmet Museums".
That's why we coined the phrase "Fresh Helmets Fast" SM. At first it doesn't seem to make sense, but the more you think about it, it really makes the most sense for your new helmet purchase.
Why pay more? You save everyday with Helmet Express.
We offer the lowest advertised prices on major brands, and on top of that, we use our purchasing power to negotiate special buys and exclusive offers to save you money every day. Often our specials are over 50% off of the manufacturers suggested retail price on similar model helmets.
We buy a lot of helmets. We buy them to sell... and we price them to sell. You won't confuse our warehouse with your local "Helmet Museum" / retail price only store. In season our warehouse loads several trucks a day with packages headed directly to you.
So why pay more, check our prices on line and if your not happy with them, give us a call and lets talk, maybe we can work something out.
We buy helmets to sell not to fill shelves and I would rather shave our prices and get you a "Fresh Helmet Fast" than start a "Helmet Museum" or have you buy from some eBay guy selling some helmet that's been on a store shelf for a while and that's been tried on by who knows who with who knows what in their hair.
You can call us at 1-800-543-8192 to place your by phone.
"Fresh Helmets Fast"SM
Our Helmets have never spent any time on retail store shelves being tried on by who know who with who knows what in their hair. Most helmets are shipped either from the nearest in-stock regional distribution site directly to your door. Special buy and close out specials are shipped directly from our Ohio Distribution center.
Helmets we use for sizing at the races are removed form our inventory and not sold as new helmets.
Orders placed by 1:00 pm EST are generally shipped that day assuming credit card information is correct. New customers shipping to an address other than that on file by the credit card company can create a slight delay while we take extra steps to verify your information.
For any questions about your order please call us at 1-800-543-8192
